LOL..you know you are welcome ANYTIME to come hunt with me. I'll let you shoot some of Heaths ammo!!

Hi Jeph, lol, you know I was teasing. I greatly appreciate the offer and one of these days I'll want to take you up on it. I loaded 100 rounds if not more so I'm good.

Jeph and I have been hunting a lot more inside the condor lead free zone this year than we ever have. Subsequently I've been firing off more of these VGs. I don't like them. They're messy and tear up animals badly. I've given all the animals I've shot this year to Jeph just because I didn't want to hassle with fleshing around the big holes and then having to stitch the pelts.

If I were staying in California with plans on hunting the condor zone I'd strongly consider a gilded bullet such as the Hornady GMX in a 308 or 7mm-08.

Heath's right. I've not been happy at all with the performance at all, but unfortunately in 6mm or .224 I have no other choice.

I wish I could teach my wife to say that! You've torn up two bobcats now with the VG, correct?

That is what I thought. How bad was that one from the other night when you skinned it? It sure had pretty spots for a CA cat.

It had a pretty big hole, but it was an easy tear to sew.

I dropped 2 more dogs this morning. I was actually pretty surprised at the performance on both dogs. First one was DRT no exit. Second one was a double lung broadside. It exited, bit was a very small hole. Dog bled out on the run and piled up about 50 yards from where he was shot. I'll be shooting them again tomorrow and hopefully have some more data. ( I know...I owe you a big azz report, LOL)

Thanks, Jim. And the same to you. Have things calmed down for you there at work yet?
