The animal rights activists have screwed up hunting in CA, and now they are doing it again in Colorado. The ARA's have a proposal before the CO Wildlife Commission to ban PD hunting. It's worded so that it includes ALL small game hunting. If they pull this off in CO, that will encourage them to keep trying to ban hunting in other States.

Help us save our sport.
Our petition opposing the ban is now available to sign ON-LINE!! Please, spread the word! Forward the link to the on-line petition to everyone you can think of. Don’t forget to sign it yourself! Please go to http://www.FinsandFurOutdoors.net
Click on "Prairie Dog Petition" in the column on the LH side of the page.

The Commission meets again on May 1st. We need as many signatures as possible before then.
Thanks for your help.

Gentlemen, thank you for your support. If you had time to read some of the replies, you saw that many of the signers are not from CO. Rather, they come to CO just to hunt the PD's. We don't want to eradicate the Pdogs, we just want the freedom to help the landowners to control the spread of their colonies on his property. On public land, shooting alone cannot contain the spread of the colonies.
We still have a couple weeks before the petition comes down. Please feel free to pass the link to the on-line petition to all your friends, as well as other hunting sites you visit.

Crank, a group of us CO guys hatched this crusade over on PM. We did the best we could to get the word out, but we don't have much in the way of resources. The bunny huggers we are up against have 3,000 members, 30 full time staff members, and 5 full time lawyers. We are just a bunch of varmint shooters, and we can use all the help we can get. Thanks for spreading the word.

Has anyone posted it on AR15.com yet? THAT would generate a ton of signatures. I will check after dinner and post something up if I don't find it all ready there.

I am coming through your neck of the woods in October. I am headed back to Longmont to pick up my cousin and head north to try and get an antelope. You interested in meeting up and trying to pop a coyote or two?

Good news. The NRA is on board with us in opposition to the prairie dog hunting ban. http://www.nrahuntersrights.org/

Crankster, I'm just 5 min. south of Longmont!! I'll PM you some contact info and we'll do something, even if its just steaks and magraritas at the Texas Roadhouse! :dancing_bananna:

Thanks Cranky and thanks everyone. Keep up the good work! :peta: Our undertaking is just a grassroots effort by a bunch of rat shooters who are trying to Save Our Sport, and in the process, protect your hunting rights, too. There isn't much time left. The hearing is May 1st in Grand Junction, CO.

We also have an email form-letter to the Commissioners that you can sign and send off to them, stating your opposition to this hunting ban. See the sticky here: http://forum.gofoxpr...opic.php?t=4299

We really appreciate any and all support you have given us. Please help us get the word out. We need to double the signatures on the 0n-line petition, and we need to log-jam the Commissioners in-boxes with email protests. Working together, we can do it!
