If you value your civil rights there is an important petition you must know about.
There is currently no 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of California. This is a major reason that anti-gun laws can be passed in California.

If the The Alliance for Civil Rights is successful in gathering enough signatures this can change. You can help! April is the deadline for gathering the required amount of signatures.

>From The Alliance for Civil Rights website:

“What the initiative does:
* Brings California in line with the U.S. Constitution and 44 other states, including Pennsylvania, Hawaii and Vermont as well as its neighbors: Oregon, Nevada and Arizona.
* Maintains current prohibitions against possession of weapons by convicted felons, minors and the mentally incompetent.
* Upholds current state law making it illegal to possess and carry a firearm for the purposes of committing a crime.
* Maintains California's current system of background checks for firearms purchases”
Please visit http://www.tacr.us/countylist2.html to learn more and sign the petition.

Please tell your friends and family and get them to sign. We do have a chance to make a difference in California.

You might also consider joining the Calif. Rifle and Pistol Assoc. For $18 a year, it gives you a voice in Sacramento politics.
Every little bit helps... :pound: :pound: :pound: :peta:
