Missouri concealed weapons permits

I've been looking into the application process for obtaining my Missouri CCW permit and it is all pretty straight forward. Unfortunately I need to be a Missouri resident for 6 months before I will be able to submit my paperwork. The permit will run me $100 and renews every 3 years for $50.

For anyone else looking for information on what is involved Missouri Carry has good information.

I just completed the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Instructor course

Over the weekend Jeph and I drove down to LA and completed the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting instructor course. It was a couple of long days, but we were able to complete the course and are now certified NRA instructors!

For me the reason for taking the class was self serving. With the instructor qualification I will be able to certify myself for a CCW once I arrive in Missouri. And I hope to hold a few classes and make a little money in the process.

Murse for concealed carry?

Does anyone use a murse (man purse or versipack) for concealed carry? It looks like it would make things better on hot days so you didn't need to layer for concealment.

Ruger LCR
