I just bought a ball weasel off ebay for $10 shipping included......My bright idea is to put it in a 24 inch by 36 inch box with 2 inch high sides and a few dry oak leaves in the bottom of the box for added sound......

The ball should be here in about a week.....I'll let you all know if it works.....

I think I'll even dig up the old digital video camera from storage.

I have nade 5 of the weasel ball decoys for myself and friends. They do work, but are a tad noisy. I have switched to a quiver critter and love that thing. The weasel ball worked great on cats, but the noise is an issue with the dogs I think. But for a cheap set up, it's hard to beat. I want to try the feather on a stick set up. I found a hawk carcas while out in the field and have some of the feathers in my garage. I don't think it will be hard to make. All it will take is some tent poles, fishing line, and the feathers.

I am going to hit a few stores this weekend and see if I can't come up with something to serve as a good "donor" for a home made decoy.

Try the teddy bear section of your local thrift store.

Hey Inoc, glad to see someone else drinks the good stuff. I think I would have hung the cat by his hind legs, although you probably wouldn't be able to carry as many arrows. :yikes:

That is great! There is a cat in heat around my house that I would love to put that many arrows in right now.
